Eastford Independent Fire Company, No.1 is an all volunteer run department.

All fire/rescue personnel give their time freely and willingly to protect the lives and property of Eastford residents and to provide mutual aid to surrounding towns.
Monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, 7:00 p.m. in the firehouse. Drills are held Wednesday evenings, starting at 7:00 p.m.
EIFC receives money from the people in town to help support fire house operations. They also hold various fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for additional gear, truck apparatus and additional house equipment..
EIFC participates in different grant writing opportunities from the State of CT, FEMA/Department of Homeland Defense and other sources of grant revenue.
Eastford offers green house signs, reflective numbers and smoke alarms for any Eastford resident that does not have a smoke alarm on each level of their home. To obtain yours, stop by the station any Wednesday evening.
